Are you interested in New Year's of Japanese? You can experience how to cook Japanese traditional dishes for New Year's in Japan. One is "Ozōni." Ozōni is a special soup with Mochi (rice cake) in it that you eat in the morning on New Year’s Day in Japan. "Kuri Kinton" is made from sweetened chestnuts and pureed Japanese sweet potato! It’s sweet and amazing. It’s part of the Japanese New Year’s lunch/dinner feast (Osech Ryori) so it’s basically like eating dessert in a main meal. We plan to provide this experiences 3 times on February 2020.

We will cook and eat “Sara udon” and other some dishes in a home in Nagasaki. This experience is provided in February 2020. 【Sara udon (皿うどん), literally means “plate noodles” in Japanese. It consists of two parts: crispy fried noodles on the bottom and stir fried seafood, pork, and vegetable sauce on top. All the ingredients in the soup are thickened with a small amount of slurry, so they coat well with the noodles.】 I prepare a fan for you as a gift.

You can make a dried fish with seasonal fish of "Tsushima” on this experience. You will experience how to fillet and dry a fish. You can take the dried fish in the early evening or next day.

Nagasaki Messiah Sing Along ( March 20, 2020 )

*We’ve held “Messiah Sing Along” once a year since 2007. We had “12th Messiah Sing Along” on March 21st in 2019.

Meeting point is Shimabara-station. We will have a sign board. Relaxing in Onsen(hot spring bath), Eating Somen (Japanese noodles that are made from wheat flour)
※Between October and June, we will have lunch at Cafe・Salamanje instead of Somen.

You can learn how to make Japanese lunch box with local seasonal vegetables at ex-elementary school. The lunch box is colorful, so you can enjoy seeing the lunch box too. The lunch box includes two rice balls.
